Vegan MoFo 2013 – The End

I love My Chemical Romance and I’m gutted I didn’t manage to see them live before they split up. I’m glad we covered that. Now, back to Vegan MoFo. I cannot believe that today is the last day, where has September gone? As you might know, this was my first time participating and I cannot express how glad I am that I did. I wasn’t sure whether it was going to go well or not in the beginning, as blogging every single day is quite a commitment and I wasn’t certain I’d be able to pull it off. But I did, and I think I did okay! Obviously my effort doesn’t come anywhere near some of the bigger blogs, but I’ve managed to add quite a bit of content to Moving Scouse and at least some of you must have liked it, since I got over 1000 views this month! That’s roughly the same amount as the blog generated over the past two years! Thank you so much to all of you who have been reading along, it means the world to me.

But Vegan MoFo has also given me the opportunity to read some amazing blogs that I probably would never have found otherwise. Firstly, I’d like to mention Mihl from Seitan is my Motor, who has spent the entire month veganising classic German desserts. The amount of effort that must have taken is crazy, and the results are beautifully photographed.
Secondly, Seitan Beats Your Meat has had a Mad Men theme all month. I’ve never actually seen the series, can you believe that?! I’m determined to buy the box set now and the recreate every single one of the brilliant recipes Kelly has written.
And last but not least, Lima Bean Lover has had the most brilliant book theme. I was so happy to see many of my favourite stories featured!

I think we should all give the Vegan MoFo team a huge round of applause for their dedication in putting this great event together and running it throughout the month, it’s so much work on their part and I’m so grateful that they’ve made this month possible for all of us!

Thank You!

  1. Ahh I love MCR too. My first MoFo went really well and it was so fun! I’m going to carry on following your blog as I’ve enjoyed reading along. Do you go to the monthly Scouseveg meetings in The Egg?

    1. Thanks for reading along :) I’ve never gone to their meetings because I’m a bit too shy, but they sound really great! Do you go!
