Vegan Easter Treats

20140420-173735.jpgHappy Easter everyone! After a totally catastrophic fail when trying to secure Moo Free easter eggs, Jake and I hit the kitchen last night to make sure we at least had some sort of easter treat. Of course this is partly due to bad organisation on my part – with dissertation work and the end of my degree looming, holidays haven’t been a priority recently. I didn’t want it to pass completely ignored though, so we made some chocolate nests and a few cupcakes. They were delicious. I now feel ill.

P.S. Apparently England is facing the great Easter Egg Drought of 2014. It really isn’t any wonder we weren’t able to secure vegan eggs if even the mass quantities of non-vegan options were already sold out! People have been tweeting pictures of themselves with 5 eggs each though, so if you werenmt able to purchase an egg this year, it’s because they’re being hoarded ;).

Oooh I haven’t made a chocolate nest in years, yours look great. I had no idea there was an easter egg drought this year, I was outa the country for easter but when I went to Sainsbury’s on Monday I found three types of vegan egg all reduced to £1!!
