Tone It Up – Progress Report & Review

Like I mentioned in last month’s Lovely Things post, I’ve been taking part in Tone It Up‘s Love Your Body series.

Tone It Up provide weekly exercise schedules for free, with the option of becoming a full member by purchasing their nutrition plan. I’ve done so recently, but I haven’t had it for long enough to provide a decent review, so I’ll do that in next month’s progress report! What I will say is that they provide a fully vegan plan option, which is something I haven’t ever seen before and was very pleased with.Sticking with the exercise schedule has proven to be a real challenge (in a good way), and it’s definitely increased my core fitness level. I’m not sure I’ve seen much change in muscle tone, but maybe I’m being a bit too critical of myself as well. Two pounds have gone though! I’ve definitely become stronger and my endurance has increased a fair bit, as you might have read in my January Running Update. I’ve already completed part of the challenge, which was to move 100 miles between the First of January and Valentine’s Day. I included running, walking, ballet classes and HIIT training towards the total and was surprised how quickly I reached it! It has definitely been incredibly motivating and got me out running when I usually would have curled up on the sofa instead. Unfortunately, I’ve hurt my knee a bit and haven’t been able to work out for the past two days. I’m hoping to start easing myself back into it during the next week and will hopefully be back on track the week after! I never thought this would be something I’d say, but I actually miss completing the workouts and going for runs every day, even if it’s just a short routine!
