It has landed! The VeganKind have released a beauty box! The days of being jealous of America’s ample vegan beauty box options are over. Well, sort of, since this is a one-off box for now, although I have heard that there are chances of it becoming a quarterly thing. When I heard that my favourite subscription service were producing a special beauty-themed box, I ordered one the second I got paid. I’m a huge fan of all things beauty and spend a lot of time emailing companies about vegan cosmetics options, so a whole box full of suitable products was definitely my cup of tea! I wasn’t disappointed, either, as the box contained some rather exciting things.
First up was the Inika Black Caviar Eyeliner. I’m a huge fan of black liner and have tried all sorts, but I had never heard of this brand before. I haven’t worn this yet, but I’m excited to see how it will turn out and whether it is long-lasting enough for my needs!
Secondly, the box contained a Furless ‘Must Have’ stippling brush. I’ve recently started to invest a lot more into makeup brushes, having owned only a concealer brush until about a year ago. I quickly learnt that a good brush makes all the difference, and I’ve been using this to apply one of my blushers which would usually be far too pigmented for my skin tone. This brush applies it perfectly, leaving a beautiful finish without making me look like a clown. It’s also super soft and of excellent quality, and if I’m honest, it’s way better than any of the animal-haired brushes I’ve used in the past.
A skincare product was also included in form of this White Rabbit Lime & Coconut Cleansing Water. It’s recommended to use it as an alternative to face wipes, but my makeup is always really heavy on the eyes and using this near my peepers caused them to sting. Instead, I’ve been using it as a toner after cleansing my face and it leaves my skin feeling wonderfully refreshed and hydrated, but not in any way oily. Win.
I’ve been wanting to try Beautiful Movements for quite a while now, but I can never be bothered to order just a few small items online – it seems like such waste of packaging! Now that I’ve tried the brand, however, I might be placing a bigger order. I received these two gorgeous earthy nude shades and have since worn them during a day of hardcore shopping in sweltering heat in Manchester. They were still in place at the end of the day, they’re really easy to apply with minimal fall-out and the shades are gorgeous. Oh, and they come at an absolutely sensible price – what more do you want from an eyeshadow?!
Last but not least, the box included a Simply Soaps Orange Cocoa Bath Melt. I’ve already used two chunks of this, despite it really being too warm for baths, and I love it! It’s a bit expensive, although no more so than my beloved LUSH products, but you get four baths out of it and it makes your skin feel absolutely amazingly soft, while making you smell like an orange blossom. I love this, and I think it’ll be something I will buy in the future whenever I’m in need of a small gift for someone.
Overall, the price of the box is £17.95 including P&P. The value is a whopping £37.50, so it’s definitely worth its price.
