Review: Lush – Let the Good Times Roll

During my last shopping stint, I picked up this Christmas-edition face wash from Lush. While it was a seasonal special last year, I”ve been told that it’s staying around forever now, which I think is great.Let the Good Times Roll 1It mostly consists of polenta, which I initially thought might be quite harsh on my slightly fussy skin. I was completely wrong, however, as this product proved to be incredibly versatile in the scrubbing department. Applied with your hands, Let the Good Times Roll can either be a gentle exfoliant or a more effective scrub, depending on how much pressure you apply. I’ve found this perfect for my moody skin, as it means I only need one product for any phase of bitchiness I might find my skin in. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised but not oily and generally very soft and balanced, which is exactly what I like in a face wash!

Let the Good Times Roll 2So we’ve established that Let the Good Times Roll is an incredibly effective product, but considering the shop it’s sold in, what I’m really interested in is the smell. Believe me, this little pot doesn’t disappoint. While it’s supposedly modelled on popcorn, I mostly smell cinnamon and vanilla, meaning that washing my face now has the effect that I imagine diving head-first into a bowl of christmas cookie dough might have. I really, really can’t complain about that.

Let the Good Times Roll 3Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Since this appears to be part of the permanent range now, I can see myself repurchasing many times…

Have you used any of Lush’s facial cleansers? What did you think of them?

Let the Good Times Roll is available online and in-store from Lush, costing £6.35/100g or £15.87/250g

  1. This sounds like a great product! I’ve never used a Lush product, but I’d like too!

    1. You should give it a try, I can’t even describe how amazing the smells are!

  2. Oh why must you tempt me so? I can quickly go towards a downward spiral of acquiring too many vegan bath and body products especially when they smell good. And this sounds delightfully wonderful. Note to self, stay away from Lush stores.

    1. My trick is to go right after christmas when there’s a sale and stock up haha.

  3. […] is far less scrubby than Lush’s other christmas face cleanser, Let the Good Times Roll,  and therefore possibly more appealing to those with super-sensitive skin. I’m currently […]
