I bought this lipstick quite a while ago and mentioned it in this haul post. I’ve finally used it enough to be able to give it a real review, so let’s take a closer look!
The packaging is, well, packaging. A regular wind-up lipstick tube, nothing revolutionary, but absolutely nothing to complain about either. What I do like is that the tube is quite slim, making it easy to carry around in your bag as you can slip it into those little pockets meant for pencils.
It’s a beautiful bright red colour, meant to moisturise your lips while adding colour and shine. I find it very easy and smooth to apply, creamy enough to go on easily but not so balmy that it smears all over your lips without adding any definition. It also has a very nice amount of pigment, meaning you don’t need much to get the desired depth of colour.
Unfortunately, I feel like it does make my lips a little bit dry, but then my skin is so dry that nothing really seems to help. I also find that the shine disappears very quickly, leaving you with the same look you would have gotten from just a regular lipstick. The colour, however, stays incredibly well. I applied it in the morning and when I came home after four hours my lips were still distinctly red, without a single reapplication. As fully vegan products go, B. Sheer Conditioning Lipstick is definitely showing other brands how it’s done. For £6.99 (or currently £4.99 here) I really can’t complain and would probably purchase the product again.
A Note: B. Cosmetics are sold exclusively at Superdrug and the entire range is suitable for vegans. I’m sure many of you have had the same difficulty finding easily accessible vegan cosmetics, and lipstick appears especially elusive. B. have a great range of shades and I’m sure you can find exactly what you’re looking for!
