My New Year’s Resolutions for 2014

resolutions2014It’s the last day of 2013, so I’m jumping on the bandwagon and posting my resolutions for next year! I’m keeping it simple and only posting four, but I’m going to try my best to reach them. We’ll see how well I did in 12 months’ time!1. Be Kinder

I can be temperamental and sharp-tongued at times, and also have a habit of needing things to be done a very certain way. This puts pressure on everyone around me and I don’t want that. In future, I will try to be kinder and more relaxed about other people’s ways of doing things and more considerate of their opinions. Unless they’re being racist/homophobic/xenophobic/arseholes. Then we can’t be friends, goodbye.

2. Be Healthier

I’ve not done too well at being healthy this year, for many reasons I won’t go into here. I’m going to aim for a healthier diet and a bit more exercise.

3. Be Able to Run 10k

This relates to point number 2, but I wanted to set myself a specific target. I’m the worlds most pathetic runner, but I’m determined to get back into it and manage 10k runs by the end of the year. Realistic? I’m not sure.

4. Finish my Degree

This could be read as a huge ambition, or you could read it as ‘try my hardest not to fail’. Either way, I hope to be a BA(Hons) before the year is out!

Have you made any resolutions for next year? Or do you think the entire practice is shite? Let me know!

Happy New Year!

1 and 2 are also on mine (I think your number 3 is a tad too ambitious an achievement in just a year for me). Your first resolution sounds exactly like me though! Hope you manage to keep them x
