Agave-Sweetened Raspberry Sorbet

As I mentioned in my recent The VeganKind Box 9 review, I was super proud to have one of my recipes featured in this month’s box.

400g Raspberries (fresh or frozen)
125ml Agave Syrup

125ml Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste (or 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract)


1. In a saucepan, bring raspberries, agave and water to a boil. Let them simmer until the mixture is smooth and slightly reduced

2. Strain through a sieve and mix in vanilla

3. Let the mixture cool and place in the fridge for 1 hour

4. Prepare according to you ice cream maker’s instructions, and leave to firm up in the freezer overnight. Enjoy!

    – Trei and I are trying to be more ccenoisnce about what we eat too is healing .if you make the right choices. I know a Raw/Vegan expert who has seen her life change in radical ways she just recently told me that it’s going around in the raw circuit that agave nectar might be worse for you than high-fructose corn syrup the consensus if that raw honey is a better option. just some food for thought

      Agave is indeed very processed and very high in sugar! Like all sugars, I try to use it in moderation. I don’t ever use honey though as it’s technically an animal product :)
