A Mini Kitchen Tour

Another prompted post, and one I’m really hoping to see on other blogs a lot during the remainder of the month! I love seeing kitchens, especially when it comes to small, rented kitchens with limited storage. Since I live in one of those and it isn’t exactly pretty, and I’m also a bit wary of posting my ENTIRE kitchen on the interwebz for all to see, I’m giving you more of a sneak peek of my favourite elements, rather than the whole thing.

Spices

First stop, the little worktop. We keep jars of lentils, pasta & rice here, as well as the vast majority of our spices (which I desperately need to relabel) and a carbon monoxide alert. Can never be too careful in these old flats!

In this picture you can see my prize possession: My Joseph Joseph nesting bowls/measuring cups/sieves. They’re sitting on our massive IKEA wooden chopping board, which is possibly one of the best purchases we’ve ever made.

utensilsAnd lastly, our two utensil pots. One is an IKEA flower pot, the other came with the set of tins for bread/sugar etc. We’ve accumulated so many cooking accessories that we need two holders now!

And that concludes our mini-tour. If you’ve written a kitchen tour post, do post a link in the comments! I’d love to have a read.

  1. I recently saw those Jospeh Joseph things. They look so gorgeous. I have never heard about carbon monoxite alert but it sounds like a pretty smart idea if you have gas.

    1. They are brilliant and so well thought out, I’m so glad I bought them!
